bigger valves = white smoke?

My mechanic put it a new head with new seals, piston rods, and bigger valves, but white smoke still comes out the exhaust sometimes and go away when i drive. He said that sometimes it will spit out white smoke cuz the turbo shoots the air into the bigger valves.. and the exhaust smoke shoots outta the tail pipe. He said my turbo was fine, but another mech said that i need to change my turbo cuz its burning too much oil, but then my mechanic said that the turbo doesn't have to do with oil. So u think he is right and there isnt ne thing wrong with my car?

Sounds like your mechanic is just that a mechanic and not a technician. He sounds like he has no idea what he is talking about. The turbo has to do plenty with your oil. IT RUNS THROUGH IT. If I were you I would buy as many books about working on cars, learn as much as you can, ask plenty of question and start working on your car yourself. Thats the only way you will know what is wrong with your car for sure. And hey if your wrong you could proably find what you did wrong easier then what the mechanic messed up.

do u still have a cat, because if u do it may be burning oil a bit the odd time. and the cat usually make the blue turn into white, thats how it was with the last 2 cars i had as soon as i took the cat out i got the odd puff of blue instead, which could be turbo or rings. just my thaughts....
