BIG PROBLEMS? Need help with my car!!

Well its like this have a 98 gsx and just put a jdm 6 bolt in it , everything looks good from top down, now the problem under neath is ####ing oil everywheres, i cleaned it of and looked again it looks like its coming from rear main seal Tranny goes on to!! and leaking its way down, or the oil pan gasket i cant tell but from what i know in order to change that rear main seal do i have to take my tranny out right i just put the swap in less that a month ago . So i really hate to have to do this. Is there any way you can move it over enough to do the seal ( probably not) and to take the tranny out isnt it easier to take the whole motor out Im pissed of about this!! I do all mine own work but i wish i had a put a new seal in it! So what do u guys say i should do hear. Cant tell 100% where it is coming from? Any help would be great thanks!

It's easy enough to change the pan gasket, so you could do that to rule it out as a source, but it most likely is the main tranny seal. I had to do this on an Volvo once... the extension housing and output seal were leaking fluid badly. For that, fortunately, I only had to drop the housing and not the whole tranny. In your case, I'd say you're going to have to remove the entire thing from underneath to gain access to the gasket. While your at it though, you can replace any other gasket accessible to make sure this doesn't happen again!

Ya i was kinda hoping that the seal could be replaced some how with the tranny in but id never be that lucky! Ya i can try the oil pan gasket i ill have to take of my x case and some other shit exhaust to fix it!

Oil pans leak all the time. Do a dye test if you're un sure, any shop knows howto do this. It's your best bet in my opinion when you're unsure. Good luck
