What is this and what does it do? I see it bolts to the 'downpipe' side of the turbo, but it has 2 spots for a wastegate it looks like to me? Im confused and cant figure out why it has those 2 square mounts?

It is to run an external gate off the o2 housing. You take out the internal gate and flapper and port the shit out of that wastegate hole and you control boost that way... It is a alternative to using an ext gate off the manifold.. The other peice that goes back into the o2 housing is so it is recirculating back into the exhaust instead of being loud as shit

It's for an external wastegate. You can weld the flapper on your internal shut and mount an external onto the o2 dump. They sell them without the wastegate fitting, I have one

You dont weld your flapper shut on these... You remove the flapper and port the hole out and the external gate is the new "flapper" persay..

Oh ok I see it now. Its just so the wastegate dumps back into the exhaust rather then atmosphere. Thanks
