Better traction with more tire pressure?

I have some firestone firehawk all season tires. They suck. I was running around 23 psi in the front to try and get better launches out of them. These tires have absolutley no grip whatsoever. Ive never driven anything with as slick a tire as these are. But anyways to the point. I upped the tire pressure to the correct 32psi and it seems like the traction is now improved.

Im thinking that since these are no slicks or DR's anyways that the lower tire pressure caused me to have less contact patch then the correct 32psi. Will lower tire pressure in a full on street radial every day tire do anything for the holeshot?

maybe dont drop the tire pressure as much but lower tire pressue makes teh tire have a bigger and flatter contact patch

Omg i have firestone firehawks now and i hate them hopfully im gonna get some toyo proxi R's

I just got Bridgstone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position's.
I love them so far. I have only had 4 days with them.
The first day I got them on it was raining cats and dogs and the car felt like it was driving dry.
I was on the interstate going around 65mph. The tires are not that expensive either.

I got firestone firehawks for my stock rims that i was going to run during the winter, but the Talon hasnt moved out of the garage all winter hahaha but since there garb tires i will probably run the shit out of them this summer and get new ones :)

I have yokohama s-drives and I love them. Great ride quailty good in the rain and have cut some 1.6 60' spinning them.

Heh dang this is an old post. I now have general exclaim UHP's. Have had em for a while now on some 18's.

The difference was huge. But now I have more power... So I can't wait to get some ET streets or something along that line.
