Okay, so right now, I'm angry with my DSM...so I'm gonna ship it off in a month or 2 to get the tranny rebuilt...ROFL but my question is which transmission rebuilder will give me the best bang for buck?

My power goals are atleast 400whp..maybe even 500...and I know the stock drivetrain is not that strong, Complete details on my build:

Engine: stock intake manifold, emissions delete, evo 3 head, kelford 272s, kiggly springs, 3g lifters, arp head studs, all new seals and gaskets, stock crank, evo 8 rods/pistons

Fuel: walbro 255, ss line from tank to filter, fuelab fuel filter, ss line filter to rail, fic 1000cc

Turbo/Tuning: 7blade hx35, fp manifold, fp intake, punishment o2 with 38 mvs tial, 3in megan exhaust, CXracing fmic w/1g dodge mod

Tranny mods: ACT2600 pp with SBC kevlar disc, fidanza flywheel

^^I put that up for any doubters who don't think I can break 400whp

Anyways, I'm torn between either a Shep stage 2 or stage 3
DSM Transmissions - AWD

TRE stage 2 w/4 spider or stage 3 w/4spider
AWD STAGE 3 REBUILD

or Jack's Stage 2.1 or 2.3
Jacks Transmissions LLC — Value Rebuilds

I would like some guidance, opinions, anything really.

They all are gonna be good, you need to decide which one you want and what you need to pay. You wont get near enough OPINIONS, because thats what they will be, posted to this thread as you would by searching around, especially when you are talking about best value and not best tranny.

Okay, let me be more detailed so I can get a more legible response (in other words, speak correctly before criticizing): I'm looking for a good rebuild. They're ALL good. I know this. Obviously, I'm looking to get my desired results with spending as less money as possible. Money is NOT an issue so if I got to dish it out, I will, but what's the point of spending $2k+ if I can get what I need for $500 less...which THAT'S my main question. Since I don't understand transmission (even after searching a bit), I figured I'd ask.

Keep smart remarks to yourself please. Not needed, not necessary.

I am so glad that I live in Colorado Springs. I always take my car to Jacks Transmissions. They are very fair with prices, and can always tell me what's wrong with my car. I have gotten plenty of work done there, including having them rebuild my engine which is running very strong. As someone who has dealt with these guys personally for quite some time now, I would highly recommend them!

Good to hear. I live in PA, maybe 4 hours tops away from Shep. I was actually leaning towards a Jacks Stage 2.1, but one thing I noticed is that the 3rd/4th gears aren't heavy duty. I might take to a dyno a few times, and I'll probably take to the strip once a month or so, so would that be what I'm looking for?

Search dogbox also.

Dogbox is TOTAL overkill.
