best tuning

ok guys im trying to find out what would be the best tuning software for me? i have a 1g talon tsi awd. it has pte 580 injectors, sbr ported and clipped 20g, ported 2g manifold, dejpon intake, throttle body elbow, and 3" turbo back. do you think the maf-t with 3inch gm maf, afc(turn nob style) would be good? or what? i also have a safc-1 i could use. what do you guys prefer to use for tuning UNDER 1,000g's. and also will a 2g e-prom ecu work on my 1g?

2g eprom will not work..
you need to find a 91-94 eprom and swap the pins from 7 and 14 I think and get DSMlink. it will be around 700 or so.

If you already have the afc, it has the capabilities to tune your 580cc injectors as well as a 2g mass airflow sensor which is a nice and cheap upgade. Youll need a logger though!
I personally use Tunerpro which is free and gives full timing/fuel control with a eprom burner ($100) and socketed ecu ($50) You can add stutterbox and many other features via hex editing.
I currently use the speed density files in the yahoo forums with good success and V3 aint got it

A 2g eprom will not work as stated above. You must use a 1g eprom only. As for the tuning tool, your safc1 should more than fit the bill at this point with your setup and injector size.

Either route, youll need to research logging/tuning to get an idea of whats safe whatever route you go.

But as far as your current setup, the afc will get the job done with a logger. It does "fool" the ecu where as the above listed modify the ecu directly
