I do not think it is a lot of work, but I hadmine done at a body shop. It entailed filling the holes from the original wing and then drilling new holes for the turbo wing. It fits right on the edges of the trunk lid. I've seen some where rubber plugs are put into the holes to seal them, but I wanted a cleaner look. Oh, and thanks for the comment GsXdSmKingGsX!

Hmm, I've been meaning to get some paint done to touch up some minor blemishes on the rear quarters maybe I'll get to that next summer and consider changing the wing at the same time.

Seems a bit close to the edge of the trunk there. I would have moved it up about a inch.

Damn thats a sick spyder iheartmyhonda! Makes me want to buy a Spyder now :) haha

i appreciate it. its been really good to me and i got it bone stock from someone who wanted "better gas mileage." i ended up trading a 95 honda civic for it, for which i paid $2700. so essentially, with all the mods, i have less than $3500 in my spyder.

as for the high rise, i really dont like how it sits on the convertible. the only reason i tolerate it on a coupe is because the roof comes up high enough to compliment it. im a 2ga kind of person and actually prefer the 95-96 rear bumper and skirts over the 2gb. not just the spoiler. maybe ill get around to swapping those out on my car when i put the black top/interior on it.

That def is a clean spyder, good job man. I like the 2gb look and would never kit it but I've thrown in a few added extras, some like it im sure some wont but I do so whatever haha. Heres some pics:

Im liking that spyder too with the light bar and the 18`s. JJgrizz73, ive seen pics of your spyder around here on tuners and i must say sweet job with everything on it! :thumb: Yours was N/T before? Just did the 4g63 head on the 4g64 bottom end ? This REALLY makes me want to get a spyder now for a DD LOL haha

im not a fan of lightbars at all. imo, when the top is down, there shouldnt be anything there. that guys car was clean and the light bar looked to be of good quality and well installed, its just not my cup of tea. i did, on the other hand, install hids in my factory headights and im very impressed. mine arent quite as blue as his though.

lowandsleekDSM, i fully support you wanting a spyder for a dd, LOL. it balaces the freedom and open air-ness of a bike, with the practicality and grocery getting abilities of a car. it was the only 2g dsm i hadnt owned and i was kinda weary at first. but now i quite satisfied. i make it a habit to try to dukes of hazzard my way into the car without opening the doors as much as possibe in the summer. i just hate driving it in the winter/rain. you cant see a frikin thing out of it when the top is up.

Thanks bud, it was a 4g64 which I swapped a Evo III 4g63 into it. No chance my stock 64 bottom end would hold 24psi with a 50trim...but thats getting built shortly and I'll throw the dohc on it for some added torque!

yah i just picked up my spyder not even a month ago from a dealership for 2800.00 yah i talked them down from 4995.00 :) the only thing that i cant stand about it is the body kit i hate it. i have all the OEM bumpers to finally do my swap. i have owned a eclipse GS, GST and a GSX and i have not loved my DSM any more until i got my spyder the weather is just starting to get noce and nothing beats dropping the top and blaring the music on college campus and watching all the ladies trying to hope in.... but as far as what to do slam it these cars look sick slammed with 18's. i just bought my FMIC and HKS BOV to go along with my HKS 3" exhaust that i will be putting on this weekend so ill post some new pics. but please do yourself a favor and keep the body stock and i do kinda like the light bar and tall spoiler look . i wonder if anyone has a pic of a spyder with the light bar and the tall spoiler? but yah keep us updated and have fun with the spyder there the best...... yes do an AWD swap... i cant wait to have mine done.

Your welcome JJ, now to only find a nice stock clean spyder like yours and ihearmyhonda`s spyder and im golden LOL Oddly enough, i actually looked at some spyders for sale here locally right after i posted about your spyder JJ LOL Im getting some ideas now LOL

hahah thats sweet, yeah they are around you shouldn't have a huge problem finding one. In my case it was my older sisters car that got beat on all the time and was not taken care of. I paid $1,500 to take it off her hands and now I got it back into shape and better than new haha.

I would personally slam the car about 1.5 inches, throw some 18's on it, run wingless with a CF hood and trunk. This would be on a either a white or black Spyder with a black top. Also especially if its white or silver, try to get the all black leather interior.

Yea i personally like convertibles slammed in general. When the top is down it makes them look WAY lower then they really are, which is a really good look imo. My buddy has a `93 240 vert with Stance coilovers and you can barely get the first part of your foot under the car, but the stance of the car is damn sexy when the top is up or down. :hellyeah:

I debated on lowering mine for a while. After I gave it some thought I decided not too because I already drag the bumper from time to time. Went with some rims which I will sell soon enough, and looked into some new ones today that are 17''x7.5'' Eagle Alloys. Got newer tires to close up the wheel well gap went with some 225/50/17's and haven't done much else. Pics are before I got the new tires.

Nice DSM minus the underglow.
I haven't lowered mine for the same reason. I'm worried I'll destroy my front bumper.

The neon is mainly for show purposes it is my dd and a show car. Just haven't had time to finish everything being a college student and all.
