I was giving some thought to a "baisc" package that has the T25 turbo in it and also a wet system to keep from leaning to the lean side and staying richer.

I would consider having the line tapped by someone and maybe having that section replaced with metal line if its not already.

The T25 turbo is in this kit, runs around 1500 bucks. Know much about it? With that at 8psi and an intercooler what else would be needed? I was under the impression a wet system could be used on top of that as well.

The T25 is'nt worth it. I'd use a 14b or 16g. at minimum.

The only thing a 1g nt needs is 1g or 2g turbo pistons, 2g exhaust manifold.

Parts like a turbo ECU look for a used TMO or somthing. Same with a downpipe, o2 or exhuast. Pick the best factory stuff. 2g o2 housing or get an aftermarket tubular. Stock 1g UICP and IC or used or new aftermarket.. ETC.

Don't get a kit with the t25.

Don't use "metal" line. Use rubber braided in ss and AN fittings.

Dark Racer.... i think its kinda unfair that you are comparing a basic ZEX kit to somethin like a Venom VCN-2000. Yeah its around 12-11500 but what you get for the money is incredible. Now i like the ZEX smart kits alot but i personally like the Venom VCN-1000 for any entry level Sprayer. We just finished installin one in a Focus SVT and man what a system. for the same price as a ZEX smart kit i think the Venom is a better invest ment. So many fail safes it's great. Knock sensor, A/F sensor and TPS sensor so basically if you arent in ideal spray conditions it doesnt spray or it cuts off.

As far as turboing, i have seen a couple of people try the turbo, n2o combo on 420A and i cant see i have seen one work too well. For the love of god dont mess with a t-25. might as well put a pinwheel in a snail shell and use that. a nice small garret or 16g would be what i would go with......

One thing i can tell you from first hand experience is that you better not even think of sprayin without a nice exhaust and intake system, you want that engine breathing at 110%.

well those are my $.02

hope this helps.

Bah! Venom costs to much money, and i've never heard of a Venom setup that is the same as Zex. From what Ive seen about Venom is that it comes on at a certain RPM. But hey I could careless, I had 380.00 to blow on a Zex Dry Kit, but If I had 1,100 to blow I would certainly rebuild my head or something more usufull. But to each his own...

Wet kits are essentually better than Dry kits in a few ways. Making your engine run richer yeah, but there are other ways to keep your engine from running lean. The only thing you really need, safty wise, is a air/fuel mixture gauge just so you can watch your fuel mixture. Wet kits also double the price of Dry kits though and Im not a big fan of depresurising my fuel line and cuting into it. Because NOS isn't flammable, but Gasoline is. But do what you want, ZEX is the safest and easiest to install afterall.

you dont need to cut into a fuel line with a wet kit. You can go through the test port on the fuel rail. (420A)

But how the hell do you do that???

Dose the kit supply the tap?:dsm:

No, You have to buy a schreader (sp?) valve remover, to take off the cap on the test port. On a 2gnt it can be on two diffrent places. Most have them at the end of the fuel rail on the passenger's side. Other's (like mine) it's on the fuel rail right behind the second cylinder. I'm in the process of setting mine up right now.

I'm shareing what I have learned so far. Use the search here or at 2gnt. All the info you need should be out there.

Either that or drill and tap your rail for another port.

You can just thread in a plug if you ever go back to stock.

I think its spelled schrader valve. But we all get the point and who cares about sp techicaclities when we know what you are talking about.

A typical bike valve stem and car has a schrader valve. Some racing bikes have another type but you need an adapter to use gas station pumps. Basically a schrader valve is about as common as TP.

I dont wanna sound like a dumbass but i just got my engine swapped out and i am having the same engine put back in, just with lesser miles. i have a 94 talon dl 1.8L. i want to go with a 65 shot of dry nitrous, i was lookin at the ZEX kit, i was going to buy all the parts on ebay, but i plan on having this car as a daily driver, is there anything i should do to my car so i can keep it as a daily driver and not have to worry about anything going wrong, my car has only been in the shop a week and i am going crazy. ic ant ben killing my engine. oh ya, the new engine i am putting in only has 35,000 original miles, it was a ### engine.

umm.. to anwser your question, my car is a daily driver with a shit load miles on it and I use nos just fine with 55 shots. Just run premium gas, keep your engines levels in check, and don't go crazy with your nos, and your engine will run strong... 4 a while :thumb:
