Best awd launch settings?

 In my own personal opinion launching really all depends on how much boost you are launching at. Example's.

A) Car a is boosting any where from 10 to 15 psi all the way through his run so a higher rpm launch will benifit him. The averege launch rpm for that amount of boost would be any where from 4500 to 6000 ( driver needs to know how to properly slip and accelatate for best results ) .

B) Car b is boosting 18 psi up to 27 psi all the way through his run so a lower rpm launch would benifit him as to the breaking parts and spinning wheels situation. The average rpm launch would be in between 4000 to 5500 .

C) Car c has an advantage he has a dmbc so he can set his launch boost setting and then have his race setting. This is the best of both worlds. Driver c could rev higher thus being able to hook better when his car's rpms drop at launch , then switch to his high boost setting for the rest of the race .

See when launching if you keep you'r eyes on the rpm's you will notice even though you held you'r car at say 5000 rpm you car only moved at 4300 rpm, so where did the rest of those rpm's go?

Those rpm's where lost to what I call sudden friction, This act happens when the car is not in motion and suddenly a surge of power hit's the pavement and try's to pull the weight of the car.

Some ppl call it building boost but I refer to it as building gription. Think about it you lost a whole 700 rpm to the sudden impact of weight and friction , so if you were to rev up to 5700 you would inturn have a better launch wich realistically would see you rip at 5000 rpm .

Their are always pro's and cons one con is you'r tires will slip first befor they actually grip but the pro to this technique is even though you are spining one revolution you'r car will grip faster and hook better to get you out of the whole.

I personally launch at 5500 rpm wich to me is a safe rpm to launch at . Considering my car is awd making all four tires spin is hard , but i'd rather them spin one revolution and fly then to bog at the line.

does he stutterbox build boost

i think it does since it puts a load on the engine........i think

ok that is good to know

i guess after i build my motor that will be one of my first mods

A sutter box:rolleyes:
Does'nt any body keep anything secret anymore.

If you like drifting and doing high speed sharp turns another peice of equipment thats cool is called a misfireing system. To my knowlegde it was used in some of mitsubishis lan -evo's that participated in the wrc.

In my out most personal opinion it doesent matter how many go fast goodies some one might have. Nothing can nor ever will replace/ substitute driver experience.

 The best phrase I've herd was practice makes perfect.
I raced a 1978 bmw 320 i for about a year or so b4 I got my talon , So after totalling my 320 I knew what I could do and what I shouldent do to my talon . But hey some ppl just need to learn by them selves.

p.s I try my best:thumb:
