Towed it home and pulled timeing cover and valve cover timeing was on, But ALL the rollers for the cam and spring were off on the exhaust side! They were just laying in the head! the intake side of the cams was perfect everything was good? Tryed putting rollers back on and only 3 of the 8 stayed on when i tighted down head? what do you guys think happened? thanks hope i uploaded pics okay

Bent valves. I just bought a 1g from a dude had this happen to him. He was lazy and couldn't take the valve cover off himself. Pulled it once I got home and all rockers were off on intake side. Pulled the head, every intake valve bent.

Damn thats what i thought, i think my balance shaft snaped and made my t belt skip.?

96awd, where the pistons and the block still usable? or scacrd up?

It's very well possible. I my balance belt snapped but the bottom end is completely still usuable. There was small piston slap. As long as you didn't keep cranking the car or anything, they should be fine. Pull the head and see how they look. Post pictures as well and I'm sure we could help you.

okay cool i think i'm going to pull the head today or wensday, i'll post some pics. what should i do about the balance shaft? Is it that hard to delete them while motor is in car or should i pull it and then buy elmation kit?

Mr. Piston ate Mr. Valve, YUMMY! Your cylinder wall actually looks good from the picture.

Yup, it had absolutely no marks on it, but the head was TOAST!!! Smashed a lifter and cracked it in 3 places around it, smashed the spark plug in place. The head looked like the surface of the moon. She should be running by the weekend.

It is a real pain to do it while in the car, but it can be done. It will actually be faster to pull the engine, remove the BS, set the timing and reinstall.

As said, remove the oil pan or drain the oil. See if you get any metal shavings or anything just to be sure. I would also get the BSEK and remove the engine as said. I'm in the middle of the same process besides mines already out of the car and waiting on my gasket kit from STM.

So head off, heres some more pics, So should i put the 200-300 into it for a new headgasket arps and gaskets, even though the pistons have a little valve marks where they hit, or just grab a 6 bolt? even tho im low on funds.
