Hello,

I have been working on this issue since I bought the car. The Power Steering Belt kept slipping and Since the original Power Steering pump kicked the metaphorical bucket I got another one and installed and all seemed well except the belt keeps slipping still.

First impression was that the new Power Steering Pulley was misaligned and needed to be adjusted.. however was wrong lines up fine. Next thing I noticed was that the tensioner was not center with the belt and looks like was messed with by previous owner.. So took it off and put in a spacer to bring the pulley into alignment and at first glance seems perfectly aligned and thought I was in action .... Finally!! ... Sigh.

Still riding off the AC Pulley away from the motor.

What I did notice last night is that I am unable to tighten the tensioner as it seems the bolt may be getting stripped and my speculation is that is the cause of the belt slipping now.. More or less looking for some confirmation

Pictures would definitely help if possible.

There isn't really a trick to tensioning an auxiliary belt and would probably guess the tensioner is stripped or the pulley could be bent.
However, it is difficult to throw out any possibilities without any real idea of what is going on visually. Josh

Ill take some better pics after work today.

This weekend I am going to LKQ to get a new/used tensioner to see if this will fix the problem.

Went and got the tensioner, put on and reseated the belt took my time checked that everything lined up correctly and the belt seems great.

Sadly my used power steering pump making a bit of noise so may still have to drop 90$ on a new one
