Belt causing a swishing noise

Yeah so anyways, when I start the car in the morning the belt makes this horrible noise that you can hear if your outside the car or have the window down. It isn't squeeling but it is like swish swish swish swish...So I popped the hood one day and put my ear by the power steering belt and that sounds to be the belt creating the raquet. The belt looks pretty old anyways. Since it isn't squeeling could it be something else or definately the belt? I figured if the alternator belt and P/S belt are easy to do myself I can go ahead and do that. I have the haynes manual, I would just like someone to say yeah its easy or no its not . Hopefully it is just the belt and not any of the pulleys going bad or something. I think a couple times it has actually squeeled while I was driving I think. Also when I turn the wheel going very slow or idle I hear a sound that obviously has something to do with the power steering like weeeeeeeeerrrrr me and my text sound effects. Yeah so any help would be appreciated. Also my car has 85K on it and from looking at the timing belt through the peek hole you unscrew it looks brand new and I didn't see any cracks or wear but looks aren't everything. The interval to change it is every 60K so does that mean the previous owner had to of changed it sometime before I bought it or is it possible for it to not of snapped with 85K? Hope not cause that is a lot to get replaced and I don't want to mess with timing stuff so I would definately end up paying for that to be done. Sorry for the dumb questions but I posted it in the right place at least

wisemen say, " if you dont know when your t-belt has been replaced, replace it asap!" maybe unless you want your t-belt to go out along with your motor

I am going to get in touch with the people I bought the car from and see if they know.

Being here is fine but being so far away from my girl is hard. AF is treating me good. Good luck on getting in , they are trying to get people out still. You won't have many jobs at all to choose from and make sure you like what you get because I broke my wrist a month prior to when I was supposed to go to basic and it delayed me a few months and I went in open general. I hate my job...so I will be cross training in about 2 more years...so make sure you know what your getting into. Also yeah they pay 100% tuition but you are capped at $4,800 a year so that won't get you that much college each year and evenually you will have something but it will take longer than you think prior to joining.
