Hey all,
Something strange happened to me last night and i was hoping to get some input -
While driving somehow the cord for my wideband fell into the path of the accessory pulleys and got chewed up a bit and removed one of the belts for the A/C. No weird noises or anything from the car - just as I pulled up to a stop light I noticed i had developed idle surge and I suspected a vac leak somewhere. I was about 5 minutes from home so I figured I'd get at it when I got there. When I got home - No oil pressure (at least on the stocker gauge). Car sounds like it's mis-firing. Idle surge.
So what I'm wondering is how could the A/C belt coming off do all this? Car ran great before - and I've searched and it seems that people run fine without them.

Lower timing cover is on so no damage to T-Belt. Other accessory belts look fine. Checked all the hoses I could get at before work - everything is connected. Oil pressure gauge bottomed out (almost like it wasn't connected) but the oil pressure warning light didn't come on (which I know works).
Anyone have any ideas??

I will check the sender - thanks! I am using it as the primary o2 sensor - it was still reading values just fine, and I've driven sans o2 sensor (forcing open loop) before and it never surged. Just ran fairly rich. The surge is strange though - it will surge around 1250 to 750, then drop and surge around 1000 to 500, the raise and surge around a 1000 to 1500. Not consistent at all. Only started happening after the belt came off - but I have no idea how they're connected

I'm going to try and put the belt back on, check the sender, clean up the wideband cord and do a BLT just to be safe. I'll poster back when I got some results. Thanks for the input, guys[DOUBLEPOST=1407948250][/DOUBLEPOST]Sooo. Ended up cutting the belt off because it was right knackered. Found that it coming loose had knocked the oil gauge wire off - reattached that and all is well there. Inspected accessory belts and t-belt for wear, none that I can see. What's strange to me is it is still surging - but not like any idle surge I've seen. I can barely make any boost. It bucks around 1 to 2 thousand rpm and my wideband is jumping all over the place at idle (from 13 to full lean sometimes) when it used to be stuck right at 14.7-14.9. I suspect a big boost leak and maybe a vac leak but couldn't get at my buddies compressor yesterday.
Weird thing is: no leak or any weird issues prior to belt coming off. Anything else that the a/c belt could have hit and caused symptoms such as this?
