bearing hub + plasma cutter?

With the use of a handy dandy air chizel I have finally gotten the bearing hub out of the knuckle. The dilemma is that i have mushroomed the end of the axle with a huge puller. They WON'T seperate! I know i need a new axle, im ok with that.. Any ideas on how to seperate them?

Sledgehammer and a breaker bar. Take the handle end of the breaker bar put it on the axle sticking out, and beat on it. Thats how I got mine out that was fubar'd.

If i cut the shaft will the CV assembly fit through the knuckle?

seriously somebody stop me before i commence to shredding this axle..

Yeah, I tried all that. I have a gigantic crows foot on it now. So much pressure it indented the shaft. Plus i have beat on it so much that its now mushroomed.. This is rediculous. I have replaced giant diesel truck bearings without this much trouble. Butane torch didnt loosen anything up. puller+ 5lb mal has no effect. The hub is out, axle wont let go.. Only idea i have left is to bring a torch home from work and melt it out... I have learned to disllike this car considerably..

Can you believe, after all that get it back together.. put fluid in tranny.. the seal is busted... I can't wait to get it back together and replace it with a truck! I have loved this car for so long, and as far as i can remember, it has only hated me... Im done Thank you guys, and if I post again, then call me a hippocrate.. It was fun!
