Ok. 91 NT Eagle Talon FWD.

Going to replace the clutch this weekend, while I have the head off. The current clutch is starting to slip, and i'd rather replace it before it's totally shredded.

My question is... Which friggin one?

I know to some degree the type chosen depends on the application you want (i.e. rally, drag, street, etc etc)

I've heard good stuff about the ACT Clutch's, I've heard bad stuff about them.
I've heard nothing about RPS, or Exedy, Or Clutch Masters, etc.

For the most part, car is a daily driver (~160 Mile round trip home-work-home).

As far as racing applications go, i don't plan on trying to run 1/4's..Most of the racing i currently do starts out at 55 - 60 MPH and goes till we run out of road..

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Sounds like you don't really need a performance clutch. Maybe just try an OEM clutch from AutoZone as it should be cheaper.

I was thinking a bit better than 'stock'. The heavy right foot has a tendency to burn clutches out.

I went through 3 clutches on my old VW Scirocco before i got rid of it.
Not something i relish doing over a weekend..

I'm running an exedy racing clutch I got from Slowboy in my 94 TSI. It's pretty close to the ACT 2600, the springs are a little thicker tho. I love it. It catches right at the bottom so it took a little while to get used to, but I'm definitely lovin it!

I have an Exedy Cerametallic clutch and I like it alot. It might be a little too much for what you're looking for though. An ACT 2100 is problaby your best bet.

well for a daily driver on a N/T....ACT 2100lb would maybe not be your best bet like the others are saying unless you got the money but....Murray's has a Lifetime Warranty on their "OEM STOCK" Cluthes....so if you break em...replace em..hahaha my 3 cents....wait...4 :D
