Base Timing (Tuning help)

Ok long story short, I got a Stage 3 chip from Jeff O. about 2 months ago and I am getting nothing but insane amounts of knock! So I now have time to investigate this more. First thing im going to do is check base timing, now just to make sure it should be set to 5 correct?

yes base timing with timing connector grounded should be at 5.
