Bad tranny

If you aren't going into gear, grinding gears, slippage, etc. There are many things that will effect your 1/4 mile time. How bad depends on what exactly is wrong with it.

And if I were you, if there was anything wrong with it, I wouldn't be worrying too much about racing it and worry more about getting it fixed before it damages something else.

Thanks, it's a bad syncro in second gear and it has a problem going in all the time. I'll remember what you said though thanks

If it's hard to get into second gear that will hurt you times the most. It wouldn't be so bad if it was hard to get into 3rd, and if it was 4th it wouldn't affect the time much at all.

With my 2nd gear synchro all but gone, grinding like a mofo, I can pull off a 15.3 but I know my car is much faster than that..I pull on friends running low 14's from a roll. Get it fixed man....it only gets worse.
