My driverside upper and my passenger side lower balljoints are shot.
I noticed that you have to buy new control arms to replace the just the balljoints.
I know there are a few eclipses and talons at the local scrap yard and I was wondering are the 2g eclipse/talon n/t fwd suspension parts such as balljoints and controll arms compatable with 2g fwd turbo cars.I am about to put on my tokico hp shocks and lowering springs on tuesday so i figured I would fix the probs up front.

I really cant afford to spend a lot of money so anything i can do to save would help me.

Any suggestions?

Where can you find them for 30? I need a compression arm, and I havent found it for less than $100.

Sorry, I was assuming the lateral arm. $100 would be a great deal for a new compression arm, that's used right? I've heard of people replacing the ball joints in the compression arms, though I haven't done it yet.

I got them $60 used. It's actually $154 new for the compression arm. I don't think I want to attempt installing new ball joints, that idea just seems risky to me.

I just did this because I hit a curb and had to replace the lower compression arm on the passenger side. I pulled the arm out of a tsi awd at the junkyard and they charged me 35 bucks. I took off the little rubber boot wiped off the grease that was under it, and got one of those autozone 99c grease packets and filled it up. Works fine. The arm is only 2 bolts on the chasis and the ball joint into the wheel assembly. Simple to do, 45 minutes.

My steering is not very responsive, could this be what is wrong with my car also?
My passenger side wheel moves left-right-up-down when jacked up....

The first suspect would be the wheel bearings. The second would be bushings, bearings and tie rod ends. You will need to look a little more closely to find the extent of the movement. Is it just the wheel? Or does the whole knuckle move?
