So.. I went to look at my car before I bought it. Yeah, there was a few scratches in various places, but they were not that obvious. But the next day I came back to buy it, everything was fine. My friend drove it home for me (No license yet) and I was with him. Great. Got home fine. But I noticed the next day (during daylight) that the scratches were gone - and in place of them were these spots of ugly off-color black. I looked inside the car and found the culprit - a bottle of "IMPORT COLOR" in gloss black. The girl had attemped to make the car look better by covering them up with wal-mart paint.
:thumbdown I was - and still am - quite pissed. It looks awful, albiet most of the marks are on the dented fender I plan on replacing anyways, but there are a bunch more all over the car. The spoiler and my hatch in general look bad, they have the most spots. Is there any way to make this look less tacky without sanding and re-priming the entire surface (ex: my whole damn tailgate) and making the thing a whole big production out of it? If thats the only way, could someone point me towards some tutorials on how to do it (or just mention some in the tech articles section.. I didn't see any when I looked though) Thanks.
