I am unsure as to what my problem is but here are the symptoms....when the car sits for an hour and then started it will idle rough and die somtimes and gas is needed to be feathered until it catches and once the car is reved it will no longer idle rough. If it is sitting any longer no problem and also ten minutes sitting, there is no problem. There is NO CEL. Another symptom that might be related is that when sitting at a light and when I first start out my temp will rise slightly and then cool down to normal after a little more driving. Also the temp will rise at WOT which it never did before....please help

your rough idle problem is more than likely a dirty IAC motor. take it out and clean everything real good. wouldn't be a bad idea to clean the throttle body while your at it. sometimes if the throttle plate is not fully closing this will also happen. usually the cause for that is the TPS, or it has been installed/adjusted incorrectly. if your throttle plate isnt closing completely you might pull the TPS out of the throttle body and make sure that it's sitting on the tangs correctly when you re-install it.

the coolant temp. sensor can be a little tricky. its difficult to test without submersing the electrode end into a bowl of water and heating and cooling the water. just go ahead and swap it out. they're cheap from any parts store and about 50 from the dealer.

This sounds like a sympton of a bad coolant sensor but you never know. Be sure to check the wiring on the coolant temp sensor. Sometimes it's could be a bad connection. Check other electical connections as well.

thanks for the help i will try cleaning it and throw a new sensor in and see if that solves my problems
