I need some help from you wonderful folks who know about these cars.
My 90 Laser has been sitting for months since it won’t start. It ran one day and the next day wouldn’t start. The tach went bazerk and it’s making all kinds of weird clicking electrical noises. I sent the ECU back to ECMTuning to make sure nothing in it fried (it was fine) and sent them a scan of the computer readout when I tried to start it to see if they could tell me what the issue may be, since I have no clue how to read the output. Dave said it looked like the cam angle sensor or wiring was bad. Since nothing has changed with the wiring I’m guessing the sensor itself.
Is this the same as the crank sensor? Can it be replaced when the car won’t start since, unless I’m mistaken, it has something to do with the timing?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I really want it to run again. Thank you.
