Bad Boost Gauge???????

i had a guy from dsmtuners that lives 20 miles away hook it up for me i guess all i had to do is hook the orange and red together to a positive and the ground to a ground and then hook the hose back up to the vac line that i just tried earlier but thanx for looking out guys
 
After Installing Everything I Tryied All Four Hoses That Are Connected To The Driver Side Firewall And Still No Reading. Is This A Bad Gauge Or Possible Boost Leak With No Tach Movement What So Ever? What Should Be The Reading At Idle And Shoud It Follow The Boost Gauge In Cluster
 
also i should add i did not hook up the orange wire to anything ### i did the dimmer switch thing could this be the problem.....red wire=black with yellow stripe on the dimmer....black=green with white stripe....and orange is supposed to go to 12v lighting//// so do i need the orange to hook up to anything..........SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

We need more info: What Brand of Gauge, Is it Vacuum and Boost or just Boost, Is it Electronic or Mechanical, Where did you tap the boost vacuum line into?
