i thought i'd ask this here cause i'm not sure where else to put it.

anyway, this is whats happening. i'll start the car, and the 3 alternator lights will come on and my tt shows a volt reading of 11.2 and will slowly go up to 11.4 and just sit there until the rpms hit 3k then the volt reading goes up to 13.8. it does this EVERY time i start the car. no matter how long i let it sit.

i just got the alternator replaced a couple weeks ago cause it was "falling apart" according to the alt shop.

so does this sound like a bad battery?

and the car is a 95 gsx with 6bolt, b16g, fmic, 255fp blah blah blah

i have a similar prob... i have the apex tt and my volts w/ the car running and nothing on is around 13.1 and when i turn on the headlights, it drops down to like 12.2 then when i put it in drive it drops to like 11.4 when i rev it up it jump back to 13.6-8 but then drops back down... i have a 4 month old red top optima & i had the alternator checked and it was putting out 13.8...???

well i just got the battery checked and it tested out ok but the alt wasn't puttin out any juice so back to the alty shop AGAIN. this is the 4th time i've had to take it back there. either they're just slow as monkey piss and can't figure it out or they keep gettin bad altys. oh well, either way its gettin fixed for free.
