Well went to the track last weekend with the new turbo, Wasnt very impressed. I was havin launching issues which affected my ET alot but i didnt make much for MPH over the EVO 3. I only gained 2-3 MPH with the holset 35 at the same boost levels, which kinda made me wonder.Car was tuned to a steady 11.5 AFR and 19-20 degrees timing, I was thinkin i could of trapped 115-117 but only got 113mph.

I raised the rev limiter from 7500 up to 7800 and i was still hittin it, should i raise it some more to make use of the top end from the larger turbo?? mabe need cams to wake this thing up??

Pls chime in and let me know what you guys think.... Profile is up to date...

YOUR LAUNCH AND THE 60 Foot Means everything in the 1/4.......Why do you care about trap speed? Focus on a lower ET


Why on earth are you shifting aat 7,800 on stock cams????????????????????????????????????


Shift at 6,800 or somthing........But you really need to shift lower to stay in the power ban..


Cams would def help out, BUT THATS NOT THE PROBELM here


What boost were you at?

Pump gas?

post a 1/4 time slip so we can see what your doing wrong....


Stop reving the car to 7,800rpm, shift way way sooner
 
His turbo is too large to shift earlier. Keep shifting where you are. 8000 is cool as well. He may be losing a lot there, but he will fall way out of boost in between his shifts. I am guessing this is low boost and pump gas. Lift your skirt, turn the boost up.

If you actually read what turbo i was running you would know i cant shift at 6800, as (biglady) says i need to rev it that high to get use the power of the bigger turbo.

I ran 12.2@111 with the evo 3 with 1.6 60ft
I ran 12.5@113 with the Holset with 1.85 60ft

So i know the car has slower ET slower cause of the 60ft but i was hoping i would of made some more MPH.. Boost was set to 24psi on pump gas with water injection. I put in AVE gas at the end of the night but i didnt turn the boost up.
