axle or cat back

I'm going to be getting an exhaust for my gs, I'm not going to be modding it too much to make it really fast, but I just want a better sound than stock, so is the stock piping alright to just purshase a axle back?

Axle back no need for a full one.

Agreed. If you just want the sound, save your money and purchase an axle-back, or choose any other muffler that may or may not have an axle-back option for our cars, and have a shop install it on your factory pipe.

I just put the $65.00 ebay axleback on my buddy's car and it sounds great. made me feel foolish for buying the apexi unit. it seriously bolts right in. just need 2 wrenches and use 2 of your original hanger bolts. I can get you some audio tomorrow if you want to hear what it sounds like compared to mine.

It's a muffler afterall, Get what you can afford. The differential is wether you just want sound, or overall better flow/performance. At the same time the ebay unit could rust out in a year or two, who knows?

Yea thats the axleback I was looking at, it would be nice it you did make an audio, I would appeciate it alot! And that was another worry of mine, was the rust, do you all think it will rust quickly?

If it's any form of stainless...even cheap stainless it will outlast a galvanized steel muffler.
