Hi ,

Can you explain me how the AWD tranny work on the DSM

it is 50% front and 50 % rear ?

it is all time AWD ?

can I get a L.S.D. rear différenciel


with good mods , ( 400HP ) , dose it work well ( front or rear whell spin more )

how power the stock tranny and motor ( 6 bolts ) can be daily drive with no problem ?

It is 70 front 30 rear. It is all time AWD. AWD works great in the 400 hp range if you have a good trans. 23 spline transfer case is the way to go. You can get a LSD insert to make it 50-50. Hope this helps. :thumb:

Yes it is 70-30 for the 2g as well.

As for the LSD insert you can check out my name or any of the site sponsers. ;)

23 spline transfer cases for the 1g started in 91.5 it is hit and miss with the 91's. 92-94 will fit all 1g's and it is 23 spline.

thank for the answers

what I want to know is when you make a realy quick start
like drop the clutch at 5000 RMP

dose the front tire will spin ? ( more than the rear )

Is the 70/30 split the reason it feels like my front end is wheel hopping when I launch in lower-traction situations?

50/50 split.

Your front end is more likely to lose traction on a launch as most of the weight is transferred to the rear, and your front end lifts.
 
Mach V sells the pieces that make it possible to disconnect the driveshaft from the rear and run it on a 2wd dyno on the front wheels...and I think it also said it makes it 50/50 constant, but they say it makes it rather uncomfortable on the street. But that's a matter of opinion, it might not be all that much different than just like the stiffer clutch feel on the 2600 clutch or something like that. Maybe someone has used it and can chime in.
