Hey i'm wondering would there be any benefit from and low gear awd tranny in a low hp(250-300hp) fwd?? Ya' no lower gear faster pick up. Or would it just spin even worst?? I would like to hear from someone who was done the swap give me some input.

i have shorter gearing by using the nt tranny (weaker though), but i have traction issues in 3rd if the ground is cold and i'm just on a 14b. A friend of mine has one in his laser and it didn't help his traction issues. Now in the higher gears there may be an advantage, hard to say as i've never ran the fwd turbo tranny in my car.

The lower number means a longer gear correct? Then why is the gear ratio for the 1g awd lower? And if the lower number means a shorter gear, why is the N/T gear ratio longer than the turbo? Which one is wrong?

Nevermind, did a little more reading and I understand. Has to do with Primary and Secondary ratios and the final drive ratios.
