So, i know that theres at least 2 people in San Diego that have done the swap, so im going to ask here.

Im in the slow process of getting all the parts to do the AWD swap, and was wondering about EVERYTHING i need. Ive read a bunch of the posts and they all say the same, but i also want to know about the little misc stuff thats needed as well.

Next question is can i use any of the AWD parts from a 1g or is the entire drivetrain different to where i cant use any of it?

Will i lose anything by going from a fwd to an awd? I already dont have ABS, so i cant really lose that feature, LOL :hellyeah:

(Gofer, if this should be in a tech thread, then feel free to move it, i wasn't sure where exactly to put this one)

Well after talking to a few of my "peeps" i might just say screw the awd swap and just buy a 2g awd and work with it

Alright who wants to go with me to help strip the gsx?

I'll go help you, I got a shitload of tools too. Good ones like box end ratchet wrenches and what not. What time and what day are you planning on going though?

When are you free mike, and no Augustin, I am buying a Manual Transmission on Monday, so i will be continuing on with my "stick" plan (you get it you get it?? hehehe - anyways)

I need to find out EXACTLY what i can take from an Auto and what i cant take, any thoughts?

you want the Auto tranny?

ive heard Auto AWD turbo is lots of fun

Im Free all weekend Chris, just let me know when is good for you. I forgot to tell you that my VR4 is in the paint shop again so i would need to swing by there and pick up my tools out of it. Edit: paint shop is in Vista though so no biggy

hmm, well if Augustin plans on sticking to Auto, then he should get it
