The shop will receive the tranny already out of the donor car.

What is the average North America labor cost to remove the old (presumably faulty) tranny and install the one I will provide.

Unless you take it to a shop that is familiar with these cars it's going to be too damn much. Have patience and do it with a buddy. Use the spare coin to buy more car stuff...or beer. Mainly beer.

It's not hard. Took me 6 hrs to remove the trans the first time. Never did it before. Will find out this Friday how long it take to put it in. I used a transmission jack from harbor freight. Worked great. Just gotta make sure the car get's high enough up to get it out from underneath the car. This was just with patience also. No friend or beer. Should have had one when I was done though.

Funny you would say beer... It's mainly been BEER and pretty much only BEER since the Eclipse left me stranded on the highway on Saturday. Fault code P1750, the shop said, I said bring on the brewski's! After a few of those, I apparently adopted the approach suggested byTrevoREX and I had the car towed out of there like a bat out of hell. Now in search for a tranny rebuild buddy in the Chicagoland.

....to be cont..
