I've been running an AVC-R for alittle over a year now and now when it's on either a-setting or b-setting under boost the needle on the boost gauge will flicker like crazy..You can't tell how much boost you are running due to it's flickering..I don't know whats wrong and Apex will not email people back..I was just wondering if anyone had any idea's as to why it;s doing this or if there avc-r was doing this..By the way, this is the new style avc-r with a 35 ext WG..When I turn it to the off setting the flickering of the needle goes away and the WG will open under the exhaust pressure..Thank you for your time..:)

Not to be a bashing post whore, but I have never seen anything good come from the AVC-R or any other "fuzzy logic" boost controller. If you insist on an EBC, get a Greddy Profec-B, otherwise get a good ole rock solid MBC. If you go to the shootout take a look at the fast cars there and see what they run for boost control. A good majority of them run an MBC.

I myself have been wanting to go with a MBC and I'll just keep the avc-r display hooked up to read injector duty cylce and the 'bling' factor because I wont be able to sell it now if it's broke anyway's..It was on the car when I bought it and if I could do it all over again,It would be a profec b or a MBC..No display maps and solenoid duty crap..Just a twist of a knob..
