As I've stated before I used to own an Accord 5spd. So I've had 5spd experience for about
2 1/2 years. I choose to get an automatic this time for a couple of reasons. With my old honda, I had stock clutch setup, burned it and realized how much they cost. Also the weak synchro's went out, more money. I couldn't eat and drive very good through city traffic. My girlfriend couldn't drive it. Numerous reasons, ANYWAY.... I got a GS-T Automatic, and just wondering if there's anyway I should even attempt to make it quicker. I can shift through the gears and the car is still quick, but not being able to ride the clutch makes it seem a little doggy off the start. What do you guys think? Any auto suggestions for me?
Links to shift kits, Stahl Converters etc. would be appreciated.

I agree with him ^^^

For starters, a shift kit and better end clutches will improve your shifting, instead of the sluggish stock setup. The AT DSMs come with tranny coolers although Mitsubishi decided to block it with a piece of plastic. I would improve on this and install a better one and run synthetic ATF in it.

As my best buddy had said "I would wave to you while drinking a Coke! as I run past you." :D

ATs are not as fun as 6 speeds but reliability-wise, they have an advantage.

I would say GO FOR IT! Start modding that GS-T up. There are many people out there who have AUTO turbo DSMs and decide to mod them...including me! Auto DSMs can be made pretty quick. We may have to work a little harder than the 5spd'ers but it can be done.

correct, we just have to make up for the loss of power that we start with to the 5-speed. all the dsm's i've owned where automatic's, i enjoyed them and modded them because i feel they can see 13's without much work and without the worry of a clutch. a 5-speed would be nice also though, but don't feel slow b/c you got's an auto. if i had a 5-speed, i'd probably want a auto...vica versa

wow! Thanks for the replies and help guys, really appreciate it! Can anyone explain Lock-up/Non Lock-up clutches?
