On my 1g AWD, besides buying $300 camber plates, i'm wondering if anybody has adjusted their front camber. There isn't a factory way to adjust it, and I am in desperate need of -2 degrees. Is grinding the mount still done, wouldn't the nut be able to slip while under heavy load? Is the only true way to get that much camber is the plate method?
 
I've heard of people slotting the strut/hub holes to get extra camber. Your profile says you have camber bolts in the front, is that correct? Are you not able to get enough negative camber with those?

Not sure if you know, but depending on your tire/rim width, you may run into problems with more negative camber. The stock spring perch usually limits how far negative you can go before you start to run into it.
 
I've never aligned a DSM, but when I adjust camber by sliding the bearing plate, I just drill and rivet. I think the 1G's have McPherson strut setup, so probably 2 horizontal bolts holding the strut to the spindle. You can elongate the lower hole and get some there also.
 
I should change my profile, as I do have camber bolts, but they never fit correctly. To the second post, i know that is a possible method, but to get both sides equally ground, then having the chance of the bolts sliding along those grooves.
