Auto tranny

Since i've recovered my car and like people say when you get your car stolen and luckily got it back and the insurance company fixes it up it will never be the same......

and right now my tranny feels like its slipping......
when i gas it up the in the first gear the rpms go all the way to seven keeps going den it shifts

sometimes i got to let go of the gas in order for it to shift to second
and downshifts hard along going p r d 2 and L

is it time for a rebuild????

if so does anyone know of shops in chicago or near the area of chicago that i could go to to have it done
and how much would a rebuild costs?

It may be recoverable with brake band adjustments and a good fluid flush, but a good trans shop will tell you that before tearing into a rebuild.
I'd expect you have dozens of good shops around Chicago.

At least yours got recovered. Not many do.
