i got 2 2 audiobahn 12's with 2 800watt 2 ch amps i know i will need a new box because im pulling it out of my other car but my question is do 98 gst spyders rattle a lot or will i have to dynamat the whole trunk and also, how do i change out my intor. speakers do i need to remove the door pannel and and rear pannel to get to each of the speakers in the car? :dsm:

its gonna be very hard to fit 2 12's and 2 amps in the trunk.

i dont think youll need dynomat unless youre gonna use those suckers to their fullest. if you got the money for the extra matting go ahead and do the trunk. are you using the entry level 12's or the better flame Q subs(or the greater Immortal/Eternal subs)?

i dont know if they are entry level subs, i have a pair of alum12Q's and 2 800wat amps for both.. so i might just end having a buddy of mine make a custom box, where can i get the carpeting that looks like the one that came in my trunk so it will all match?

screw carpet. get vinyl. i got vinyl that matched the interior leather and panels from a place off of crows landing.

or i could make you something :sneaky: it would take up the whole trunk but it would look sweet.

im trying to keep some trunk space, i was thinking about mounting them along the side of the trunk wall but i dont know if they will fit, them mounting my amps on my trunk wall making it the first thing u see when u look inside my trunk

If you want to keep some trunk space... then you will probably need to use only one, but start taking measurements and see if you can fit an enclosure of the recommended size in there with 2 12's

as far as changing the speakers... yes you remove the interioir panels

the lower door sill (1 screw in front) then remove the back seat lower (and upper on spyder) to access the 4 screw (on a hardtop) then push the panel up a bit and it will pop free.
