Attn Greddy Profec B 2 Boost Controller Users

hey i had a profec b 2 boost controller set up in my car but after an electrical problem i think it shorted out cuz its the only thing that wont work..my question is if i power up the positive and ground to a battery should it light up with power or does the whole unit need to be installed on the car for it to work..is there a type of brain needed to power it..reason im asking is cuz i dont know whether or not i need to replace the whole unit or just maybe a wire running to it..please help..

try installing it and use a multimeter to check the readings. if all the wires check out, then it'll be the unit itself.
