Hello arkansas dsm bros what have y'all been up to ? I haven't got my car running yet I can't drive it which makes impossible to take it to Benton to Colby or anyone for that matter but was wondering if anyone can loan me the special tools so I can take this beast on!!!

Well, I just learned the hard way that I have a 6 bolt bottom end xD Just got my transmission off and viola.....6 bolts LOL

Turns out it was a 7 bolt, I was just apparently too tired to count correctly LOL and apparently the 2G manual bell housing I ordered was different from mine xD new clutch is in though, and it feels off LOL

Wait, you have a what?

Are the spindles, control arms, and driver side fenders in good condition?

I have Luke's red eclipse, I told you that LOL.

The passenger side is screwed, but the controll arms might be salvagable.

Spindles should be ok, and drivers side fender is good.

Someone merged him into a wall on the interstate.

I lt still drove,

Flywheel bolts! Lol

They should be in ok condition. The parts in question have 140xxx miles on them. The driver side fender is fine. Its just the passenger side fender, door and quarter panel are bad. There is no rear suspension.

Everything I need is Driver Side. But #### me if it isn't an Eclipse. I need a driver side front fender with cap for a Talon. :|

Certainly may be interested in the hub assembly from the driver side front, however.

The hub assembly on the d-side is good. I had to use the passenger side for the talon because the cv-axle was one with the wheel bearing.; I think I might have a d-side talon fender at my buddies house. I had an extra one when I picked up the Talon

Your in luck. My buddy still has that d-side fender at his house. It is a 96 talon fender. White in color. I will say that it needs to be resanded. When I picked it up from JamesH3 it had been spray painted white in a spot that is noticable. It doesn't come with a cap though. Name a price and we can work out the shipping. I might have a box big enough for it. Shoot me a text cause I can only get on Tuners at work. Five 0 one Two 3 Zero 9 5 Five one.

Well damn, the cap is a big thing but that's fine and all. Let me get some things straight and see if we can make this a priority and I'll just drive over and do that as well as grab the driver side hub which I suspect has a good wheel bearing. :)

30$ for spindle and 25 for controll arm- if you pull it, il let you know and if it ain't much il pull it. I normally wouldn't charge ya but I have several fines to pay

Shouldn't be much left to pull it if you already have the new kyb- gr2 shocks off it can't be but one or two bolts holding it on. The wheel bearing is OEM so its a 50-50 shot. I had no noise or bad tire wear from it. I'm not saying it is or isn't bad.....

I have that effect on people. :p

In the meantime - anyone in need of the following?

1 : Video Card - 260 GTX 216 Core
2 : 2G MAF
3 : Dell Latitude Laptop (Actually pretty nice)

This is the most active I've seen this forum xD

I have been hiding for awhile but after going to the DSM shootout I have been reinspired to be more active in the forums again. The shootout was awesome but the only draw back was we only got to go on Saturday  . Since selling my Talon I have moved on to modifing my 2011 Kia Optima Turbo. I just installed a Injen intake. injen claims a 16+Hp gain with the intake. It does pull harder somewhat to 60 mph but you really feal it up top. I tried to top her out 2 nights ago but was only able to hit 150 mph before running out of highway on 440. I did video it and am debating on putting it on youtube. I did a 60-150 mph pull. Takes the car about 1 min to go from 60 to 150 mph. The spedo registers 160 and I think that it might make it givin a little more room but who are we kidding. What's the real purpose to take a KIA to 160 mph. There is none . LOL

Yeah they are quicker than you would think they would be. 274 hp with 269 ft torque and equipped with a 6 speed auto trans. It has the paddle shifters but they are really only good for down shifting. If you try and take it to red line and shift up you will end up going from 1-3 or 2-4 depending on starting gear. Hard to get it right in a lower gear so you just let it do its own thing. It will shift out on its own @ 6k -6200 rpms by itself so no need to shift up on the fly.
Basically I have the 2.0 turbo engine from the genesis. I have been doing some research and I can use some parts that are used for the genesis like a bov flange for a genesis will work on my car so I can upgrade the stock bov. I have been searching for an exhaust but most of them sound pretty generic from what I have found on youtube. The Magnaflow sounds ok but I really like ARK DT-S exhaust system for the optima. What I don't like about the DT-S is the price tag. They are on sale right now from 1399.99 to like 1100 something for a cat back exhaust. I think that's a little to rich for my taste.....

My wife and I just traded our 2013 Kia Optima SXL in for a 2011 Escape. Trying to budget our bills down for when we get out of the military.:banghead: Hows the new house in Cabot treating ya?

Had a random guy come to my house today to ask about buying the Talon. The hell is it with people lately? >:/ There's not a for sale sign on it.
