Are these actually any decent?

After researching this topic a bunch, it seems like most of the bars pretty much do the same thing. Go eBay to save money on these if you want them.

Agreed, unless you can find non adjustable ones. Also, don't expect to see any difference in performance. The rear is the only one you need. The best upgrade I noticed on my fwd were adjustable sway bars, and I hear a lot of people having good results with the under braces.

They are the most effective available. If you do not have a sunroof, you only need strut braces if you run race tyres - A6/7s, R6/7s etc.

If your 2G has a sunroof, these will make everyday driving better even on all-seasons.

I just took off an eBay special front bar and swapped it out for the DC sports twin beam front bar. It's supposed to be for the 420a but but battery is dropped lower so it works for the 4g63. I noticed quite the difference on turn in over the eBay bar! Have not swapped the rear out yet. I have a 2g with a sunroof. Also Rm front sway bar and 19mm rear bar from a 3g if that helps your decision at all I would definitely recommend the DC sports bars.

The DC bars are one of the better ones as its a 1 piece design and to get the best from it it has to be a 1 piece design! No bolts for the cross bar as its moves and flexes!

The underbraces are good but in a fwd only the front is needed as the rear is already pretty stout below.

When i did my upper and lowers it was very noticeable and most rewarding for a bolt on suspension stiffner, well worth it,

The 2 tubed front DC bars do work on a 4G engine but upside down unless your batery is relocated, and your mdp sensor should be well out the way aswell

Can not comment for sure on the MDP sensor as I have an evoIII intake manifold but the battery for sure would be an issue. If you're willing to relocate it or drop it down it's well worth it.
