Hey guys, I recently found an exhaust leak where the manifold meets the turbo. I already ordered a gasket kit, but then after reading a vfaq I realizes that I have a 2g manifold on there that was put on by the previous owner. Is this manifold-turbo gasket the same for both? It looks to be the same on the pictures on vfaq but its hard to tell. I suppose I could take it all apart and compare the gaskets but then if they dont match I'd have to put it back together and get to the store to order it and wait another day or two. So if anyone knows for sure either way it would be greatly appreciated and save me a lot of time! thanks!

I believe so. I was just checking on RRE site and they had there 4 layer gasket and it didn't hav anything for specific years.

It depends on what you ordered. Stock, they are both 6cm and have a small lip around the opening. You will want to order the 7cm gasket and port the lip out of it. By the lip, I am referring to the actual manifold.

is this neccesary or a performance mod?? I would have thought that the gasket would fit where its supposed to... if its a 6cm opening on the gasket and the manifold I dont see what the problem is. I have no tools to port anything and I'm looking to fix my car ASAP, I dont even have a garage to work in. Let me know if this is a required modification to get a new gasket on there. Thank you for all of your help guys.

well, 7cm is larger than 6cm, so that would only mean more exhaust flow, which is always better :thumb: If you do not have the means to do so, just go ahead and measure your manifold and your turbo. If they're both 6cm, get that gasket. If they're 7 cm, get that one. plain and simple. :thumb:
