I have seen both sides to the story...has anyone used them, if so please post your experience.

I also have heard both sides, I almost bought a set but I went with crower and a few other brands. In general I have heard more positive than negative about them. I think several of the guys who have them and say they suck just have no idea how to tune. That is the case with a lot of stuff. If you dont know to synchronize your parts to function properly of course you will have issues. Even if you get it close you still will still have issues. They are very fairly priced in my opinion. Price does not ALWAYS negate quality. :thumb:

I cant justify paying $200 a pop for HKS gears when OBX are like $120 for both. I am also looking at the Fifdanza cam gears, which can be had for maybe $145 for both. Or maybe I wont get cam gears at all...contemplating on whether they are worth it.

The question here is what cams are you running? If your gonna run BC cams then it would be a smart idea to get them dialed in with cam gears. If you spend the dough on HKS cams, they are dialed in good enough (atleast from what I have seen).

Going to run Delta 272/272 which I heard was modeled off of the HKS 272s. Dont know if I need the gears though...dont want to not buy them and find out I need them

Either you get the HKS OR AEM.

Other then that, the stock cam gears are better then those obx's. Many guys running high horse power 4g63's have seen success with stock gears.
