I have a 1998 GSX and. I am planning to pickup a spare torque converter to have restalled to reduce downtime. Does anyone know if all 2G torque converters are the same? Or at least all 2G FWD are the same and all 2G AWD are the same? If not, what years do I need to look for?

Thanks!

All 2G tq converters are supposed to be the same, however the bolt pattern may be different (As john @ IPT) can attest to this. Mine was off like 3/8 inch or something. Preventing the slightest bit to bolt onto my flywheel. hehe was very agervating, but John fixed everything for me FAST.
-just my 2cents...

Don't bother finding a core, there is no downtime with DSM converters anymore- we can ship them out and get your old one back from you when you are ready.
