Are 2ga sideskirts dif than 2gb?

Do I go through the trouble of adding the 2Gb Turbo Wing?

they 2gb are straight across at the bottom and the 2ga have a curve near the middle

VERY NICE, and i like the lil grey/silver stripe going aroudn the bottom, adds something to the car. Good look.

White97rs

thanks guys :)
i guess i forgot to post a synopsis. the two colors are saronno red and logan silver, the two colors used on my car stock. only the 95/96 turbo eclipses had the logan silver trim on the bottom, and i intended to keep that style when i went to my long coveted 2gb front bumper. this is merely the result.

i did all the paint myself, which is why its rather shitty in some places, but only if you get right up next to it. all in all i am happy with the result.

with the epoxy resin to fill the emblem gap, cutting the front hole flush with tinsnips, sanding my cuts, primer, base coats of both colors and clear coat id say that around 10 hours total went in to the bumper, with more to come...i just got some 1200 grit that im going to wet sand orange peel with. also, i have to get my foglight bezels, epoxy the holes shut and flat on those, paint em, clear coat em...

its really starting to seem worth it though, now that its on the car.

thats damn creative AND clean :thumb:

what projector headlights are those?
Got a link? since ebay usually has a gajillion differnet styles.

hey man that is awsome.....say since you have now become the body and paint expert, i have some questions for ya.
My car too is red and 95 and AWD like yours, my buddy got a black 98 front bumper that is in pooor condition, broken from one side to the other..So what would you use to glue it together. Oh and what you use to paint it with?
do you have a paint gun?
and where did you find the paint?
thanks.. and damn that thing is hot

i am no body nor paint expert. this is the first time ive painted anything bigger than my center brake light.

go to an auto parts store and buy some bumper repair epoxy. mine just had two tubes of junk you mix together, and said that it would work with urethane. thats the key, make sure whatever you buy says it works on urethane on the box, or it will pop out when the bumper flexes. i used this same exact epoxy to fill in the emblem gap on the bumper.

i used an ingersoll&rand hvlp gravity feed spraygun at 25psi. i got the paint, base, clear, and clear activator all at a local du pont automotive paint store. i used an aerosol can spray primer called "plas-stick" that i also bought there. it's simply a basecoat clearcoat just like factory on top of that. i had no paint booth, but my front porch and some cardboard strewn on grass worked pretty good.

it fits the title of the thread, so sure, welcome to the thread :p
i think you should complete the conversion, minus the big spoiler. the toenail on the 2ga is one of the cleanest looking. hit those headlights with some novus scratch remover too

what do you mean complete the conversion? as in get the 2Gb headlights?

the 2Gb talons have different rear bumpers??? i didn't know that... i dont really want to mess with my side skirts, i've got the turbo AWD ones and i love them. does anyone have a pic. of the different rear bumpers for talons?? :thumb:

oh yeah, mad props on your car too....i dont know how i forgot to say that! it looks really clean. :thumb:
