are 22-23 spline output shafts interchangable?

Here's my problem. I recently bought a rebuilt trans from tre. I requested a 23 spline to replace my scrapped factory unit but the trans I got is a 22 spline.My questions... arethe shafts interchangable? Do they have different sized bearings or seal? I am planning to swap the shaft out of my old trans if possible to avoid having to ship the damn thing back to tre and wait another week to get back on the road. thanks

First I am wondering if you had gotten the new trans or if you figured out the answer to the question... Are the 22 spline and the 23 spline interchangeable?
Also, where did you attempt to buy your trans from, and price for it?

From all that I have heard and read about the transmission work they do....I would say they are of very good quality. I don't usually hear too many bad things about their tranny's so I am sorry for the person who had the mix-up with them.

Yes you can swap output shaft real easy i did it on my 90 transmission for a 23 spline

If you can get the correct spline count output shaft, you can swap it with no problems as mentioned above.
