Jesus christ, I just got done tightening the last bolt on my newly installed 2g throttle body elbow and I arched my positive terminal with my rachet. I thought no big deal, I get it my car to start it up and take it for a test run and I got nothing. Turned key off tryed it again and it started, but I was curious to see if it would restart. No it didnt. I started checking the fuses underneath the hood they all looked ok. But I heard a clicking sound coming from the fuse box when I had my headlights on to see if I got the right one. So I started to swap fuses out of my parts car and it started downporing. Now its dark out and raining so I have to wait till tommorw. Any ideas on which one it might be or if its a relay? Just before I went inside the relay on the drivers side on the fire wall started clicking. God I suck. :notgood:

try and check the 80 amp alternator fuse. it's a large fuse located in the passenger side fuse panel under the hood. the fuse, if you pop off the cover, is closest to your BOV. it will say 80ALT on the fuse cover i think. take a look through the clear plastic top to see if the fuse is OK. sometimes it will look OK but the break in the connection is so small you can hardly see it. if this is the case, pop the clear lens off of the top of the fuse and look at it. if this one is bad, don't try to just pull it out. there are 2 10mm bolts that hold it in. look here i almost bet it's the problem. let me know if that's not it.

Thanks, but I tried that one already I thought it would have been that one too but its not. Any more suggestions?

just want to know?
you checked all visable fuses under the hood and in the car?
what is the car doing when you hit the key? does the starter solenoid click?do you hear anything when key is turned to start position or is it completely dead.
do you have dash lights and power for accessories (headlights, etc) with the key in run position.
do you have a multi meter. if so what is your battery voltage?

sorry don't know if it is still raining..... :(

Yeah I checked all the fuses under the hood, but I did not check any inside the car. My first thought was to check the fuses under the hood. Then it started to rain. So I didnt get a chance to check inside. Is there even any fuses under the dash that would prevent me from starting? As far as having dash lights I have them sometimes but they start to fade, then when i try to turn it over they go dim. When I try to turn it over I get nothing, dead. That wouldnt have fryed the computer would it? As far as a multimeter, no I dont have one but my buddy is coming up tommorow to give me a hand and hes got one. Any other ideas on where to start? Its like 11:30 here and its to late to work on it now but im gonna start in the morning. I appreciate all your help. Thanks.

I got it. I just pulled the battery out and charged it and put it back in and it fired right up. I guess it resets the computer when you pull the battery out? Whatever it did it worked.

good to hear. hope your battery is still good. i left my lights on one night and it completely drained my batt. wasn't ever the same until it finally took a crap. if you car begins to drag or turn over slower than normal it's a good chance maybe your battery isn't any good anymore.
