I know from Honda cars, it is mainly used for n/a applications and not recommended for turbos. How big is the piping?
 
It didn't specify the pipe size. I saw it on Modacar and the ad said for a gst the system was 395.00.
 
i also was interested in this exhaust system back when i had a turbo integra and called Apex-i to ask there opinion about it and they had stated to me that it is sold for turbo cars but not recommended for higher HP turbo vehicles(350+). they continued to say that the resonator and muffler internals will not hold to higher temps and is best on stock applications or N/A.
 
I have the Apexi WS exhaust system. Of course, i have a stock turbo as well. But I think its pretty good. Never heard of weak internals though.. but it might be true. I noticed after it was installed, that it had better low end. Sounds good too. Not very deep, but not ricey high. Works for me. And I have the gst version.
 
I have the WS with 2.5"dp and 3"hfcat. It looks real nice. Sounds plenty deep to me, and never ricey. I love the way it sounds and have been complemented several times for the sound. The piping is 3"id which fits inside bigger piping a couple feet from the muffler. The piping is shared with the N1. The muffler, however is a little bit restriced in it, with an id of just under 3". However, I'm willing to bet you would never notice the difference and it will make more power than any muffler with a silencer in it. With a test pipe I had bad boost creep up to 25psi, so the flow is good.
If you live in a state like Maine, which has a DB level law, or just want to go under the cops radar, it is the perfect system. Cops never pay attention to it since it is not loud. I also pasted the db test with my setup with an 89.9 and 90.1 db reading at 4500rpm. This gave me a certificate making it 100% legal in my state.

My only beef with it is the piping is not SS, only the muffler. However, for the money, you can't go wrong with it.

that really doesn't make much sense, at least the part about not bein able to hold higher temps, cuz exhaust temp after turbo is cooler than on an NA car as the turbo removes heat from the exhaust stream. it's all in maximum boost. Corky Bell says that a glasspac will last longer in a turbo application becuase it will take longer for the packing to burn out.
 
couldn't tell you man. thats all what they mentioned to me and it was from the "Horse's Mouth" call them and see what they say. they also have a Cali location if you want there number i have it. PM me if you need it.
 
I also have the WS exhuast and I love it. I also have it mated with the Apexi GT N1 downpipe. At idle it has a nice low tone and when you actually get on it things louden up but not annoying loud. Basically, its a great exhuast for someone that is going for the stealth look and not having a really loud exhuast.
 
I also have it and it works great. The sound is there but it is very quiet. Clearance is excellent even though it go's under the axle. :thumb:
