Apexi RS (Racing Sports) Catback

So when I bought my car it only had a injen intake and catback exhaust for power mods and a slew of suspension mods. Now this is the only piece on my car I can not find any information about at all. I was hoping someone could help identify it and maybe tell me whether it is a real apexi exhaust or some other brand. It had two resonators. It is 3" it had a adapter to connect to the stock cat which I removed and extended my punishment downpipe to reach so there is no bottle necking. I was also wondering if the resonators were 3" or if I should cut them out. Here are a few pics any help would be greatly appreciated .

I haven't heard about the RS for years (mid to late 90s). It's basically an older version of the APexi World sport exhaust. Not I'm not too sure for DSM's if it had a chambered muffler or not but on most applications they did. Look inside the muffler and see if you can see a honeycomb inside of it. If so it's chambered if not it's straight though. Should be the same piping as al the other apexi exhaust 75-80-85 megaphone style piping. As for the resonators, I believe all apexi resonators bottleneck to a smaller size inside of them. I think you will be ok with what you got. If you are looking for 450whp+ then you can start worrying about it.

Rare exhaust though to have!

Awesome, I was thinking it looked very similar to the apexi world sport systems. It doesn't look like a honeycomb inside but I will post a pic for someone else's opinion. Awesome. I thought that I had read about the apexi resonators bottle necking but wasn't sure if it was all of their exhausts. I am planning on a race ready electronic cutout anyway so I probably won't ruin this exhaust I'm happy to hear it is a rare piece it is a fairly quiet exhaust even 3" piping with no cat. I do have a nasty exhaust leak at the downpipe/o2 flange so that might be quieting the tone idk.

Yea, it looks straight through which is good! The monstrous size of the muffler helps quiet things down!

Awesome! Haha it is huge. Don't worry I'm not gonna touch it. I'm gonna have a e-cutout welded onto the downpipe. Thanks a lot for the response it was exactly what I was looking for
