:talon: :talon: I just recieved an APEXI SAFC and i was wondering where would be the best place to mount it on a 91 talon. I have some ideas but...i want some opinions. Alos how would be the best way of hooking it up? I bought it used and i have no clue how to hook it up. and if you have a link to a website where i can get custom mounting kits for mounting it in the center vents that would be great. :talon: :talon:

this is a pic of my 5 knob install. but people with the newer SAFC usually get a brezel and put it in vent in the center console with a gauge or in the glove box with the mounting bracket it came with. good luck.

mines still in the seat bc i dont know were to put it, i want it showable but not in the vents

I have a 2g and I have my wire going to the passenger side and going up to the glove box and when I want it I just open the glove box take it out and slide the mounting bracket where the vents are and it stays there till I pull it out and put it up.

Easiest place I found without it being stuck there for good.

I have a bezel for a 1g from SLS i am not using anymore. its black powercoated, it holds one standard gauge, the SAFC II and the radio as well. looks really nice when installed correctly. if interested PM me with an offer.

i wish some one had a pick of something different because i dont want to take out my AC vents, I kinda like them.

There are at least 10 threads on this already. Look at the threads from This search and you will find many pictures of different installs. Mine is on a bracket just to the right of the radio, works out pretty good.

Here's what I did on my 91 TSi. If you have an aftermarket radio you should have a perfect sized space underneath. Took about an hour and a dremel :)

sorry bout the thread start but when i searched the threads i couldn't find one...i also clicked you link and it came up with nothing.:nono:

I think so far i am looking more towards mounting it underneath the radio with the A/F guage beside it because i dont want to mess with buying a guage pod and having to unhook all the wires for my boost guage and having to rewire the guage through the car and then have to do it with the other as well.:thumb: :talon: thanks for the link to the bezels.:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Does anyone know where to get the mount for the apexi safc 2? I want to mount it in the center vents with a gauge. I have a 1g iv seen people take out those vents and put the safc right there in its place but can not find the right mount to put it there.

Send a pm to glowryder on here. He's a supporting freelancer and should be able to help you out :thumb:

I just put mine in the glovebox, that way no one touches it becuase its all shinny with gauges all my friends keep touching it LOL.

If you stick with the safc and just get 550cc injectors you can make about 250whp about 15-17psi on that 14b.There not bad just ecmlink is the safer funer smarter way to tune, I would also recommend you get a logger if your ganna mess with fuel trims and I hope you have a wideband.
