I blew a hole in my 2.5" downpipe  driving through a snow mound I'm guessing, w/ rust) and was looking to purchase the apexi n1 full exhasut. Speed Factor has the downpipe and cat back for $705 new and shipped, while 9 Second has it for $717.59. Now this is the exhaust I've come to choose but was wondering if there are better choses out there for the money? I've seen the forums on RnR and they sound great but it also sounds like you get what you pay for, Slow shipping (average of 3 times longer then qouted), and sometimes pour quality ( packaging, welds, drect boltup issues), he seems to always fix any problem but when you spend that much money, in my eyes there should not be any problems. So I guess what I'm asking is for some experience with other exhaust sytems and your opinions :thumb: thanks

If your on a budjet like me I would choose the Megan Racing Cat-back, I'm always seeing good things about it and the main thing is that its so much cheaper priced than the other well-knowen names... good luck with the choice.... I just relized that ur 1g... I don't know if they make Megan for you...

i got the apexi N1 for my 92. I got it cause to me it was the best for the price. i payed lie 700 for the turbo back. Its pretty damn loud, but it sounds oooohhhh so sweet! i even flanged my downpipe so i can throw my cat on to take the sniffer test. I HIGHLY suggest buying it.

I have a Full Apexi N1. All I have to say is I love it. Love the sound, could be alittle loud.
But hey, sounds so nice when you go WOT. Slap on the silencer to lower the decible levels. Sounds nice. Then get on it with the silencer on and wait for boost to hit at a high rpm. I bet you scare the person next to you :)

HHAHAHAHAHA.........

......................you siad silencer!

I also have the N1 downpipe N1 exhaust combo and I love it too! just a sweet deep tone until the wastegate slams open and just a wonderful roar and Im gone  I recommend it for those on a budget :thumb:

Keep searching for N1 pricing...For a 1G I have seen as low as $490 for the cat-back and $200 for the downpipe...$690 for a turbo-back?? Not for everyone but honestly I have never heard of an N1 owner who has some negativity towards it...Well, except for the intimidating noise and the response from their angry neighbors trying to cover up the noise with earplugs

i have to agree w/ the consencous i also have the N1 and it is a very awesome setup.. plus it just looks sweet. and you cant find a better guy than martin at the speed factor to buy from.. if you have any issue at all he will work non stop to help you out. in fact i got a return line from him to day and the quality is amazine, my jaw accually dropped at how badass it is

so yes go with the N1. and if you have any problems with the price remember all the R&D and the name that stands behind their product.. its worth it..

Maybe I just got lucky. But for my 2g I have a Apex N1 3 inch DP, i got off e bay for real cheap($110 shipped to my door), and in perfect condition. I have a blitz Nur Spec muffler(got for $220), and I had custom piping made between the two in 3 inch piping(About $200). All in all it cost me about 600 bucks, and I'm telling you its the best, sounds sweet, and quick.

I agree about APEX'i man. I have the 3" N1 catback and a High flow cat. I blew a hole in the downpipe so I said screw it and replaced the whole system except cut off the downpipe right before the flex part and welded a coupler to 3" a pipe straight to the cat. I tell you man, N1 is the way to go for the money, I was afraid it would sound too ricey but its really low and bassy at idle and roars when you get on it. In good taste and great performance. N1 all the way :thumb: (I also have the silencer in)

I was lucky enough to find the N1 DP and cat-back used for $500 shipped. Those things are built to last, so used is no problem unless you really need the shiny new bling factor.

thanks for all the reassurance on this fellas! thanks for looking at prices to, but speed factor has free shipping so its $705 to my door. To all the 2G's thanks for your help as well but you guys have it easy, go on ebay and its all there, new or used. But 3" exhaust of any type is impossible to find!

On another note, has anyone purchased one of these? was wondering the quality as well......
