I got some apc dual projector headlights and it uses the stock bulbs and stock wire harness. My question is, how do i get the wire harness out of the stock headlights? Do i have to put them in the oven and open the headlights up to get the harness out?

normally u would just disconnect em....

i dont understand your Question???

There built into my headlights.... through the plastic.
Under the headlights there is a big plug.... i disconnected it and pulled the headlight out. This plug powers the high beams and low beams. The plug goes straight in the back of hte headlight through the plastic with a rubber gromet (sp?), and then it goes through the inside of the headlight to each bulb.

Red/Black is high beam, and black/green is low beam. These wires pop out below the housing and goto the plug.

i need to get these out to use my projectors.

WTF? thats strang..headlights usually have thier own wiring...have u removed the Stockers and seen that there is no other way???

then u gotta run some wire of ur own...shouldnt be much of a problem,u just gotta get connectors from ur electronics store and some wire and run em from the Factory plug ....but it still sounds wierd to me though...

Does any one have experience with APC projectors:confused:

whz dont u just PM somebody thats got em on their car(check out the gallery :shhh: )

i ve had same problem , what you have to do is disconnect the wiring 2 wires at each connector.[the connectors were it connects to the bulb] disconnect all and try to remember which one goes were then just yank the wires out were the little rubber piece is wher they all go in together.

NO DONT CUT THEM , JUST DISCONNECT THE TWO WIRES AT EACH CONNECTOR THAT PLUGS INTO BULB AND THEN YOU PULL ALL WIRES TRUOGH AND INSERT THEM BACH INTO THE HARD PLASTIC CONNECTORS THAT PLUG TO THE BULB @#$% SORRY for caps lock

I can email you some pics with a how to tommorrow just post your email here If you cant wait and have wire crimps/connectors available i guess you can just cut them , but try the right way first. and if your inpatient then..........

Sorry, i dont follow you. I cant just pull it through, because theres a connector on both sides.
I drew a little diagram on my situation. The only logical way to get them out seems to be two ways:
1. Make hte Gromet hole large enough for one connector to fit through to get the harness through...
2. Cut the wires and splice them back together after there out.

or of course, find someone parting there car out.

forgot to mention that everything on the right side of the wall is inside the headlight housing, and everything on the left side of the picture is on the outside.

I just cut the wires on the outside so I could pull the harness out of the stock headlights then soldered the wires back together and used them for the dual projectors. You should also put some sealant where the clear plastic cover meets the housing and where the projectors are screwed into the housing to prevent leaks and condensation. Good luck.

ok there are 4 wires that go into huosing. 2 wires to low beam and 2 wires to high beam. grab the low beam connector and get a thin screwdriver/nife something of this nature. look at connector from the opposite side the wires go into connector. there is 2 metal things there that hold in place that you now need liitle screwdriver tomove plastic lever out the way and pull wire out from behind. do that 4 times with each wire and just pull the whole thing out. if you still dont get it give me a call but call soon cuase its getting late . ill walk you through it its really easy you just . just call me 973 277 3083, steve
