Anyone with HKS knockoff?

Could someone with an HKS knockoff BOV let me know if it fits with an authentic HKS flange? Or do you have to get a specific "knockoff" flange?

i dont have the knockoff but i know its the same flange...but dont be surprised when it fits snug. I've heard the knock offs leak at high boost, hope your not running anything above 12psi on it!!

12psi? I heard people say that theirs have handled well into the 20's. Can anyone validate that?

Modified Magazine just did an article in this month's issue where they tested several knockoff parts. One of the parts was the HKS BOV knockoff. Needless to say it did fit the stock flange and looked ok, but it performed like crap. Pick up an issue and read the article. You probably will want to use it as a paper weight.

i think a paper weight is underestimating its ability. Its also great for a hand soap dispenser =)

Well I have used the knock off HKS BOV's and they worked fine. Even did a boost leak test and it held boost up to 19psi with no leak what so ever. Now I would not recommend getting those knock off greddy's because I experimented with one of those and it was the biggest POS. But those HKS knock off's worked ok for me, no complaints. As far as the flange goes, it fits in the flange fine but the C-clip that you get with the BOV is going to be a REALLY tight fit.

And as far as the SSQV holding boost, their design is support to allow them to hold A LOT of boost. The SSQV is a dual stage pull type relief valve. Meaning that the more boost you areboosting, the more the boost is pushing on the valve pushing it shut instead of it pushing the valve open.
