I just want to know if anyone has ever put on the Tein S-Tech springs and if they road good and if you need a camber kit and shocks.

I've been looking at them too. Do these lower the car too much? I think it's 1.3" but does anyone have a problem of their exhaust scraping when lowered this much?

Thats all it dropped. I hope that pict is of just after instolation. This drop looks better but it dosen't look like 1 1/4"'s.

1.4 is not alot considering we have about 3.5-4 inches normally. I just threw on a coil over suspension because of the adjustability fact. I knew how I wanted to car to sit and there wasnt really a spring for me. So I got ground controls and will have them dialed in as soon as I get my new axles in the car today and an alignment. Also since they dont really make springs for the spyder application, I was under the impression you would just get GS-T springs. Remember your cars like 300 some lbs heavier so the rates might be off alittle bit. good luck. Maybe PM the user " WRET " on here hes got a very nice spyder, and knows a ton when it comes to this stuff.

**EDIT** Nice color.

ps> I love your car as well.

As for the spring rate it about 300Lbs different, I know and ya I ya just planning on gs-t springs. The 300LBs is distributed between the 4 corners though I think it should be alright. Do you thing I will need any type of cambor kit or anything with these springs. Thanks.

If your worried about tire ware then toe is what you want in spec. Camber will add alittle ware, but the toe will kill you . The homemade camber kit can be had for about 27 bucks using 8.8 bolts. I just made it actually. Since 1.3 isnt too low then see if an alignment cant get it close to stock specs if not save up for a front camber kit.

i had the tein springs and with nasty wheel hop through 3rd gear from a launch broke the f-in coil spring. i hate tein eternally for that so now i got h&r.

i ordered a set of s-techs they should be iinstalle by next friday, ill let u know i think that an alignment can adjust the toe/camber to near stock for an even wear on tires

Check my gallery, the white gst has teins springs, i liked them but like noted above wheel hop sux in them, the silver eclipse is dropped on tokico springs and struts :) i like them much better

i got em on my car and i cant complain. i have a 3'' exhaust all the way back and never really scrape anything but my front bumper. they lower the car just enough to where you dont scrape anything. overall i love them tho and have had no problems with them :thumb:

I just got a set of the S. Techs and we just put one of them on the car. It is definetly installed right we've gone over it a number of times now. Now can anyone tell me any reason as to why it's sitting at stock height still... actually, possibly a quarter inch higher! I'm so confused and frustrated right now.. and we don't want to put the other 3 on til we know what the deal is with this one. Thanks..

If you only installed one spring your not gonna see a difference.. ROFL

You have to install both fronts for bother rears, or both sides....

The stock springs are holding the car at stock height until you lower the other side or same side so it can balance

o really? ok see I didn't think that would make a difference. I thought the weight of the car would still be enough to lower the one spring so I could get an idea of what it would look like before we did the other 3. ok I guess we'll put the rest on tomorrow then.. thanks..

Yeah, you have to atleast do the same side or across from the same one..

The stock springs are stiffer and hold the weight of the car so you cant see the difference, i learned this the hard way LOL...

Hows it look though and pics yet? keep it updated and what size tires / rims you running again?

Pics of before (already up) and after (just uploaded, should be available to view shortly) in my gallery. Hope it helps and is what your looking for.

ps sorry the car is dirty, havent had time to clean it... im embarrased

anyone ever throw them on a 1G ???

I threw a set of Tein S. Techs/KYB AGX Shocks on my 1g last wed. It lowered it alot up front but I still got a decent amount of gap out back. Its starting to settle a little more though. I have a set of 18's waiting to go on also. :sneaky: No pics yet

after you drive around for a while (ive been on mine about a year) they settle alot more. on the stock springs i could fit all 4 fingers between the tire and fender. now i can barely fit 2 fingers. wheneven the moderators clear the pics i put up you'll see the difference. when i first got the springs on i was kinda disappointed about how much it lowered, but just let them settle and it'll look nice.
